Activity Implementation

After having connected to partners on the marketplace and successfully completed a kickstart workshop, the activity will be published on the Activity Implementation Space. The Activity Implementation Space is a platform on the WCC website that showcases the activities that entered to implementation phase. The goal is that the members implement their joined activities independently. The Secretariat will assist the implemented activities when needed.

The Hydrological Status and Outlook System: HydroSOS

The HydroSOS initiative seeks to increase resilience to hydro-climatic risks through the production of current hydrological status, and outlook assessments, at different scales around the world.

Operational Global and Regional Hydrological Modelling Community 

Establishing a community of people and organisations for developing, enhancing and applying global and regional hydrological models in an operational mode: 

  • To improve the knowledge about the status and outlook of the available water resources under a changing climate. 
  •  To support the operational capacity of countries, regions and underpin the foundation of policy making, on a global scale.

Matthias Berninger, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Sustainability, Bayer

Matthias Berninger

Matthias Berninger (born 1971) is a former German politician and member of The Greens from 1993 until 2007.
From 2001 to 2005, Berninger served as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection under minister Renate Künast in the second cabinet of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. After leaving the government, he was his parliamentary group’s spokesperson on economic policy from 2005 until 2007.
Since 2019, Berninger has been serving as head of public and government affairs at Bayer.
